Another message received from Richard Barbieri!

One of my best friends, who is from Spain, went to a lot of Porcupine Tree gigs this year. The last one she attended was in Barcelona and of course she got to meet the bandmembers (again!!!), after the show.
When she met Richard, she mentioned me again (last time I saw PT I was wearing a Richard Barbieri T-shirt, which I showed him at the end of the gig) and this was the result:

Isa: "Do you remember Lisa, the girl of the RB t-shirt?"
RB: "Of course I do!"
Isa: "Such a pity, she wanted to send me a pic for you to sign and she forgot."
RB: "Didn't you get one signed for her already?..."
Isa: "Yeah, but she chose one she wanted to frame. If I go to Glasgow I might take it with me for her, if you don't mind signing it."
RB: "You know? Next time don't bring a picture... bring her with you!"

Isn't that insanely cute?!
Isa has met RB several times now and like it was mentioned in the conversation above, she surprised me a couple of times:

If I ever get to meet RB, then it will be so much fun! Thanks to Isa.
Love you hun!

Two Sides To Every Story

It's been a while since I discovered some good new rock 'n roll music. Last week I've been watching some Alice Cooper DVDs and realised that one of the guitarplayers is really awesome: Ryan Roxie. I love his style and the way he plays the guitar. So I checked out his solo project called Roxie 77.
On this site you can listen his whole new album for free! And of course, if you really like it you can download it (read: buy it) and 50% of your payment goes to charity. Isn't that nice?

My top 3 recommendations:
Gimme Some Groove
The Question
Smell The Coffee

Ryan Roxie has been playing guitar for Alice from 1995 until 2006. He appears on Alice's Brutally Live DVD and Live In Montreux DVD.

The Perfect Drug

Lots of people think that you should be ashamed if you're an addict. But why should I be ashamed if I'm addicted to something that makes me smile every day, that just keeps me going?
No, I'm not addicted to alcohol or something else that's dangerous when it comes to your health. I'm addicted to that kind of drug that when you get an overdosis, it doesn't matter because it won't do any harm. It will only make you stronger.

My drug is called: Alice Cooper.

When I listen to his music, it doesn't matter how shitty my day was. That man always puts a smile on my face. Just like this morning; when I woke up I watched his Live in Montreux DVD.
Now I'm just dancing and singing around here and it feels like I can handle everything.
He's like... the perfect drug.
And I can't wait to finally meet him! I'm really wondering what it will feel like when I'm standing next to him.

Guess I'll find out after 17 days from now.

I am back. HAH! well.. sort of...

Woa, it has been more than 2 years ago since I've been drawing on my computer with my Wacom tablet. Yesterday I finally made a new drawing and I know, it's not perfect... but I'm just really glad I drew something. It felt really good to be busy again!

Here is the result:

The bigger version looks better though and can be found here:

It's supposed to be Richard Barbieri, when he was younger. But he looks more like a Jonas Brother or a Johnny Depp wannabe... LOL!
Ah well, I hope my next one will be better.

The impossible made possible (36 days to go!)

As the most of you already know, I'm (finally!) going to meet Alice Cooper in December! Today is just one of those days that I'm realising that this is going to happen, so yeah, I'm like... jumping around and I can't stop laughing?!
Can you imagine? Alice and me, one picture, together... haha how crazy is that?!

Only 36 days to go!

Still don't know what I'm going to say to him... and I'll probably won't know until the moment is there.
